We don’t know how long the gyms will be closed but we can’t use that as an excuse to wait or neglect our fitness. There are alternatives such as zoom classes, different apps, and in some cases even outdoor classes.
There are many benefits to staying physically active such as:
1) Boosts the immune system
2) Increases metabolism
3) Helps to control weight gain
4) Reduces risk of heart disease
5) Helps manage blood sugar and insulin levels
6) Strengthens bones and muscles
7) Improves sleep
8) Improves mental and physical health
These are just some of the benefits to working out. It’s imperative to get moving! If we don’t, we are putting ourselves at risk. Take advantage of the nice weather. If it’s too hot or you don’t have time to go outside, try a zoom class. Don’t underestimate the benefits of an indoor workout. They can be extremely effective, as I’ve been told. 👍🏾
The point is to get started, a little bit at a time but don’t stay sedentary. Our mental and physical health depends on it!
