SUMO SQUATS
Here’s one of my favorite exercises. The sumo squat is a simple and functional move that focuses on the lower body, in particular the hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, adductors and glutes. It is a wide-stanced or wide-legged squat. Start by standing with feet 3 to 4 feet apart and toes pointed out to about 45 degrees.
The sumo squat is a good variation of a squat for someone that may be experiencing back issues.
Always remember to watch your form, keep your core engaged and breathe throughout the movement. Have fun!
