It’s important to take a time out to relax, rejuvenate, reflect and just have a day to yourself. Making time for self-care should be a priority. It is easy to lose sight of that when life gets in the way. I will be the first to admit that I have been guilty of that lately. I have let work consume me and it’s not healthy. Not getting enough sleep, losing focus and just not being as productive as I could be are all results of not taking time off. Finding that balance is key and it doesn’t have to happen all at once.
For example, one could start out by just simply taking 30 minutes out of their day to exercise, go for a walk, meditate, read, take a nap, etc. It is so important as well to take a day off. It was never intended for us to work seven days straight. By taking these small steps, one will see and feel a difference and live a happier, more balanced life.
