In the book”Think and Grow Rich,” there’s a a section that talks about changing your thoughts to change your life. In particular it states, “you have absolute control over but one thing, and that is your thoughts.” This is very true. What you feed your mind will control your life.
We have a tendency at times to fall into the trap of letting our circumstances control or dictate our thinking. Life can throw us a few curve balls from time to time but if we don’t reinforce positive thinking and allow our minds to go into a downward spiral than ultimately we are letting our situation control us.
I try to live by this mantra everyday. It isn’t always easy but I have noticed that when I start the day with the intention that no matter what comes my way I will stay positive. When I take time out to meditate and manifest what kind of day I want, I feel a sense of peace and it becomes very hard for someone to take me out of that place.
Authors Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill state “the power of thought, depending on how it is used, is the most dangerous and the most beneficial force available to man.” This drives home my point that if we let negative thoughts rule then we will cheat ourselves from receiving the good that we want and deserve.
