It’s true that eating too much of anything can pack on the pounds and that holds true for nuts as well. Research has shown that nuts can help with weight loss and help you gain that six pack. However, sticking to the serving size will yield greater results. Eating a daily 1 ounce serving of any type of nut including nut butters as opposed to eating foods that are high in calories or not exactly the healthiest of choices can result in a lower risk of long-term weight gain and obesity.
 
Adding a handful of nuts to your diet won’t do it alone. It’s important to subtract calories from other sources as well such as from less-healthy foods like sugar, processed foods and empty carbs. So don’t be afraid to go nuts for your favorite nuts just stick to the serving size.
