We sometimes put our needs and priorities on the back burner, including our fitness. There can be a myriad of excuses or setbacks such as lack of time, illness, life getting in the way, etc.  I am guilty of this as life has definitely gotten in the way over the past few months. My workouts have taken a back seat and I have felt the difference in a big way. I lost muscle mass, suffered from fatigue (mental and physical) and as a result my workouts suffered.  We can either succumb to the excuses or take the bull by the horn and take charge of our situation. The only way to get back on track is to make ourselves a priority and develop a game plan.

I did just that by deciding that it was time to take charge of my life again and get back to making myself a priority. I started back with my meal prepping (what a big difference that made), scheduling my workout times as my personal appointments and not letting anything interfere with that. One day at a time, one step at a time and it can be done. Through patience, perseverance, lots of prayer and hard work you too can take control of your fitness and your life. We only have one body and it is true that our body is our temple, so we must take great care of it, mentally, spiritually and physically.
