The term “fasted cardio” refers to doing cardio before eating anything. Fasted cardio is effective because it helps the body use fat for fuel when glucose is depleted. This happens when we go to sleep at night. Doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach helps to achieve the “fat-burn.”
However, if you’re feeling weak or that you can’t make it through your session then by all means have a light snack like a piece of fruit.
