Here is a demonstration of one of my favorite exercises. It’s a single leg RDL or Romanian Deadlift. Incorporating balance work is very important especially as we age. It becomes more of an issue. I love to either start or finish my leg workout with it. The single leg RDL not only works the core but the hamstrings and glutes as well.
To perform this exercise, stand on one leg, keep your core engaged, slowly reach down with or without a weight in hand as you keep your hips even. Slowly come back up trying your best to keep the back leg up. Inhale as you lower and exhale as you come up.
You can use 1 or 2 DB’s, or a kettlebell.
Give it a try! Have fun and please watch your form!
